Week Four: Meet Jason R.

Jason is our head of UI & Design. He is a big Radiohead fan and is in charge of making our app look incredible and feel seamless to use. He’s a man of few words, but many talents. Keep reading to learn more!

When you aren’t working, what are you doing?

With five kids, a lot of kid stuff. Usually at a competition or game. Hiking when the stars align.

Do you support any sports teams?

Georgia Bulldogs for football, and Atlanta Braves

What’s your favorite part of your job?

Building something people need, and want, and love to use

Do you have any secret talents?

I play a mean nose whistle. 

What’s a nose whistle, you may ask? I asked the same question. Here’s a YouTube demonstration.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Improvise, adapt, overcome.

Do you have a favorite lyric from a song?

Favorite lyrics are the song Lover, You Should've Come Over by Jeff Buckley. My favorite line in that song is,"She's a tear that hangs inside my soul forever.”

What’s your least favorite chore?

Finishing my kid's chores.

If you could have a Fluid Truck full of one thing, what would it be?

Gold bullion.

What’s your favorite snack?

Okra. Okra is always the food answer.

Do you have any hobbies or a side hustle?

I do illustration on the side for clients like Universal Studios and John Deere.

If someone asked you why they should work at Fluid Truck, what would you tell them?

I would tell them they'd have an opportunity to work with a lot of great people who are building an amazing service that's going to change the world forever. Seems a little hyperbolic, but every day I'm convinced it's actually going to happen.
