This Week, Meet Hector G.

Hector is our Bay Area sales manager. He lives in Gilroy, just south of San Jose California. He’s a dad, an athlete, and a music festival lover. Keep reading to learn what it’s like to be on the road slingin’ vehicles for Fluid Truck!

What do you do when you’re not working?

I enjoy family time. I have a 2-year-old and a newborn. My hands are full with both of them, but I enjoy every minute of it. Every morning I wake up and go out for a run and listen to an audio book or podcast. I like to get my mind right for the day. I enjoy the outdoors, hiking, biking, golfing, traveling, and going to Music Festivals.

Do you have Pets?

We have a little guy we rescued about 5 years ago. His name is Bailey. He’s a Lasso Apso and he loves barking at dogs on TV.

Are you a Sports Fan?

Yes, I am! I am all Bay Area! I’m a Warriors fan, A’s Fan, Raider’s fan and Sharks Fan. Raiders are technically not Bay Area anymore... but hey, there is another excuse to go to Vegas!

What is your favorite part of your job?

It’s having the autonomy to do whatever it takes to get the job done. It’s been pretty good as far as allowing me to make decisions to make the market successful. The people here are AWESOME! The people are what makes this company so fun to work with.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever gotten?

Act as if you’re the owner or CEO. If this was your company, what would you do to make things happen? If people do that, they’ll be successful.

If you had to have a TED talk, what would it be about?

In the last two years, I have gotten into fitness, nutrition and overall mental wellness. So probably that. Being healthy as possible. Health is wealth! Without physical and mental health, nothing else is possible. I’m all about eating healthy, organic, working out, and feeding yourself well.

What’s your least favorite chore at home?

Landry. Folding laundry is tedious. I wish I could always have clean clothes and not ever have to worry about doing laundry.

Do you have a side hustle?

Yes, Real Estate. I like to help people sell and purchase houses. I also do real estate investments.

If you could have a Fluid Truck full of one thing, what would it be? 

Running Shoes. I go through them fast!

If someone asked you why they should work at Fluid Truck, what would you tell them?

I would tell them to come join the MOVEMENT!! We are disrupting an industry and making dreams come true.  Join an AWESOME TEAM with the same mentality to to grow, innovate and above all, HAVE FUN While doing it!
