This month’s Employee Spotlight centers on Francisco A., one of our product managers. Francisco is a member of our Buenos Aires team, which works out of Argentina. Fluid Truck is lucky to have a team located all over the United States as well as Argentina. We have developed an exchange program where employees in Buenos Aires visit our Denver, CO headquarters for a few months at a time to get fully immersed in the Fluid Truck HQ culture. Keep reading to learn what it’s like to be a product manager at Fluid Truck!
When you aren’t working, what are you usually doing?
When i’m not working i’m playing football – sorry – soccer not football!
Besides that, I am meeting with friends, and that’s my life! I would love to say hiking, because in Denver I do a lot of that, but in BA it’s not possible.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
I love meeting and coordinating with people that I consider to be very smart and very friendly. These people are mostly developers and designers. I love working together with them.
Do you have any pets?
I have two cats! Their names are Klaas and Nikita.
Do you support any sports teams?
Oh yes! I support Boca Juniors [soccer team from Argentina] and as of recently, the Denver Nuggets, since they are from Denver and we love Facundo Campazzo [an Argentenian player for the Nuggets]! We’re so happy he joined the team.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
During an interview process, make sure these points get across: you’re someone people can delegate to, and you’re someone who’s nice to have around.
Any secret talents?
I like to play the guitar as well! I play classical music mostly.
Do you have a favorite line from a movie or book?
“If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.” – from Marcus Tullius Cicero’s “A Pillar of Iron”
If you could have a Fluid Truck full of one thing, what would it be?
I would turn the back of the van into a living room and have friends jump in as I travel the country! A Fluid Truck full of friends.
