Retail’s Big Show 2023 is just a few days away, and we couldn’t be more excited to roll out to New York! With over 350 speakers from across the retail industry, this year’s NRF Event is sure to be an informative experience and an opportunity to converse with voices from every corner of the industry. We can’t wait to engage with everything NRF has to offer, but here are six of the activities we’re anticipating the most:

1. Discovering the latest technology

This year’s NRF features an Innovation Lab to highlight the latest advancements in technology that could help companies take their businesses to the next level. Retail has reached a breaking point when it comes to tech transformation, with evolutions happening in artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, augmented reality, facial recognition, and more. We can’t wait to explore this immersive exhibit and find ways to catapult Fluid Truck’s technology even further into the future.

2. Discussing sustainability & customer experience

NRF 2023 will offer two types of inspiring opportunities for discussion: Partner Perspective sessions and Exhibitor Big Ideas sessions. More than 170 industry leaders will talk in detail about their experiences on a variety of hot topics including supply chain, retail transformation, emerging tech, cyber security, customer acquisition, and more. Some of the panels we’re looking forward to the most are those pertaining to sustainability and customer experience.

From the Exhibitor Big Ideas sessions, we can’t wait to attend “Better deliveries make better business produced by FarEye.” This panel will discuss how to improve deliveries to ensure customers have an excellent experience every time they order. Leaders from HelloFresh and Tonal will share their strategies to promote on-time, efficient, accurate, and sustainable deliveries to provide  a cohesive, customized experience for every customer.

One Partner Perspective session that we have on our radar is “Placing sustainability at the heart of retail – A conversation with Holt Renfrew’s president & CEO, Sebastian Picardo.” Picardo will  discuss Holt Renfrew’s sustainability initiatives and how the company has taken steps to enable both customers and employees to make positive changes for the planet.

3. Meeting standout startups

As a startup ourselves, we’re eager to check out The Startup Zone. New companies are typically bursting with radical ideas that are bound to transform the industry. We’re hoping to connect with some of these breakout thinkers to see how we can participate in and help fuel the projects of tomorrow. We’re also eager to learn how we can continue to think differently ourselves and stay competitive. Plus, some of the original members of Fluid Truck’s early days will be attending, and are always available to offer advice. 

4. Mixing & mingling at the opening party

There’s no way we’ll miss out on the NRF Opening Party! This celebration is more than just a welcome to the big city —it’s an opportunity to connect with industry leaders in person after years of virtual meetings. After all, at Fluid Truck, we believe in promoting both business and fun. 

If you see one of our team members trying their luck at the wheel of prizes, bopping along to the DJ, or enjoying some specialty drinks and hors d'oeuvres, don’t hesitate to come say hi!

5. Exploring the consumer product showcase

The Consumer Product Showcase, rolling out on Sunday and Monday of the expo, is going to be a great chance to see what’s coming up in retail. Suppliers, entrepreneurs, and small businesses will be showing off their breakthrough products. 

NRF has announced that “84% of participating companies will be minority-owned, women-owned, veteran-owned, disability-owned or LGBTQ+-owned.” We applaud this effort from NRF and can’t wait to meet with these standout companies.

6. Showcasing a Fluid Truck EV to retailers interested in electrification

Fleets and fleet technology are what Fluid Truck does best, and we’re excited to exhibit one of our Fluid Truck + IKEA Ford E-transits on the NRF show floor. We’ll be at booth #1837!
