This month’s Employee Spotlight centers on Lucia G. Lucia is the Trust & Safety Team Leader on the Customer Service team in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

What’s your favorite part of your job?

I love working with people from different departments – it makes the job very dynamic. I love learning new things. My team is mostly in charge of account verification and assisting in investigations related to stolen vehicles. We review potential borrower’s driver's licenses and try to make the process as easy as possible for them.

What motivates you at work?

My team motivates me. I always try to focus my energy on making processes easier and smoother for them. If things are easy for the customer service agents, they’re going to be easier for the customer themselves.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

This is not only for work, but for everything: always give 100%. In a healthy way, of course. If things work out, or not, it’s always good to know you did everything you could for it to be great.

If you could have a Fluid Truck full of anything, what would it be?

I’d want a Fluid Truck full of kittens. They’re my favorite animal in the world. At some point in my life I want to live in a giant house full of cats, so this could be my start!

What do you like to do outside of work?

I like reading books, watching movies, going to concerts, and I’m a foodie. I love going out to eat food. Plus, I love hanging out with my cats Benito and Kali.

What’s something interesting about your background that we should know?

I used to study sociology. It’s something that I had to put on standby but it’s something I’m very passionate about. It really informed how I see the world, and it’s something that I look forward to going back to.

If you could choose, what would your superpower be?:

Definitely teleporting. I love traveling and it’d be so great to be anywhere, anytime. It’d save money and time!

What’s the worst job you’ve ever had?

I’ve never had any jobs that I didn’t like. A while ago I worked at a blood bank and I had to be there super early and I had a long commute from my house. It became very exhausting for me.

Do you have any unique family traditions?

In my family, we’re all gamers. My father, my uncles, my cousins, and my brother and I love to play. Every time we gather and there’s a Playstation or something like that we love playing and discussing what games we like. Right now, I’m playing “The Last Of Us.” I’m enjoying it a lot.

If you could have dinner with three people (dead or alive) who would you invite?

This was super hard for me. I tried to think about people who would enjoy this dinner as much as I would so I decided: Mariana Enriquez, an Argentinian writer. And two musicians: David Bowie and Charly Garcia, an Argentinian musician. They are all crazy, fun people so I think it’d be really fun. I would definitely serve pasta because it’s my favorite food ever.

What’s your biggest guilty pleasure?

I love skincare and makeup products. I try not to buy things that I’m not going to use immediately, but I’m always researching new products and making a wish list.

Do you have any secret talents?

I know how to read tarot cards, and I love it. It’s a beautiful language. I always pick a card for myself at the start of a new year. It gives me guidance for what to focus on. This year’s card is the priestess, number two. It’s an energy related to studying and being calm and focused on what you already have. If I’m stuck on something and need another perspective, I always go to my cards.

What would you tell someone who wants to come work at Fluid Truck?

I would tell them that working at a startup is both challenging and fun. Things change all the time, and I like that because I get bored easily. We also have this beautiful team full of people who are happy to help when things become challenging.

Want to work somewhere where you’ll never be bored? You’re in luck – we’re hiring! Click here to check out open positions at Fluid Truck.
